Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients on a medical surgical telemetry unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Connecticut or compact state
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Prior telemetry or med-surg experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Experience with telemetry monitoring systems
- Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
