Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: No weekends, every other holiday required; shift times vary

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages
Assess, triage, and stabilize patients in a fast-paced ED environment
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
Administer medications, IVs, and treatments with precision and care
Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and ability to thrive under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to float to other units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS protocols
Skilled in emergency triage and patient assessment
Knowledge of emergency medications and interventions
Comfortable working with electronic health records (EHR)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
