Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Start Date: 07-26-2026
End Date: 10-24-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every third weekend and holiday
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages
- Perform triage, assessments, and interventions in a fast-paced environment
- Administer medications, start IVs, and monitor vital signs
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Document patient information accurately and timely
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Minimum 1 year of recent ER experience preferred
- BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in emergency nursing procedures and protocols
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Time management and prioritization skills
