Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric populations during cardiovascular procedures
• Provide holistic support addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs in a procedural environment
• Collaborate closely with physicians, providing continuous updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is functioning and ready for use
• Manage supplies and inventory, gathering case-specific materials for efficient workflow
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, responding rapidly to changes
• Continuously assess and document patient condition in the Cardiovascular Lab with precise records
• Support quality initiatives and participate in performance improvement activities

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nursing (RN) License in Illinois (or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care setting
• Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications upon hire
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced procedural environment

Education

• BSN preferred
• Active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac procedures and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to interpret and respond to physiologic data quickly
• Expertise in sterile technique and procedural room setup
• Excellent patient assessment and documentation skills
• Capacity to manage stress and prioritize in critical situations
