Location: Oxnard, California

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, including weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using FetalLink and Cerner
Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections (circulating)
Support new mothers with breastfeeding and newborn care
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and neonatologists
Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU as needed

Qualifications

At least 2-3 years of recent L&D/Postpartum experience
Active RN license in California or compact state
Prior travel contract experience is preferred
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring (AWOHNN intermediate/advanced) required
Comfortable with C-section circulating and high-risk deliveries

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR and FetalLink monitoring
Strong understanding of AWOHNN staffing guidelines
Ability to manage high-risk OB patients and emergency situations
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Experience with STABLE certification preferred
