Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, titrate vasopressors, and manage ventilators
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans
• Document care thoroughly and communicate status changes to providers and families
• Lead rapid response and code interventions when seconds count
• Mentor and precept colleagues when opportunities arise, sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (California license required for practice in-state)
• Minimum ICU clinical experience (critical care experience preferred)
• BLS required; ACLS highly preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-acuity settings
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and any necessary background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ventilator management and respiratory support for critically ill patients
• Proficient with hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems for charting and orders
• Strong infection control practices and medication safety knowledge
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary care
