Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and focused assessments to prioritize patient needs
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions as ordered
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Document patient status, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Respond effectively to high-acuity and rapidly changing clinical situations
• Educate patients and families on care plans, follow-up, and safety before discharge

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact state authorization
• Prior emergency department experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to triage, and experience with fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment techniques
• IV insertion and medication administration
• Familiarity with emergency protocols and stabilization procedures
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation in an EMR
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
• Patient- and family-centered communication
