Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and prioritized assessments to guide timely treatment
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Respond calmly and effectively to urgent and high-acuity situations
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, care plans, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing (ER) — per diem ER experience a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently on per diem assignments

Education

• Active RN license in California (required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Proficient in IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Comfortable with fast-paced environments and high-acuity patients
• Effective communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Calm decision-making under pressure and strong situational awareness
