Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care including medication administration and wound management
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Respond to emergent situations with calm, evidence-based interventions

Qualifications

• Current RN license in California (or compact state eligibility if applicable)
• Experience working in an Emergency Room or acute care environment
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and triage skills
• Ability to handle fast-paced, high-acuity patients with professionalism and empathy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and prioritization skills
• Proficient with IV starts, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Comfortable with common ED equipment and monitors
• Effective communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary environments
• Accurate and timely electronic health record charting
