Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert one-on-one care to complex cardiac surgery patients including open heart, thoracic, and vascular cases
Monitor and titrate critical drips such as vasopressors, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
Support patients on advanced therapies including Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Collaborate with intensivists and hospitalists who are in-house 24/7
Float to other inpatient units as needed while maintaining exceptional care standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience with this patient population
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
Valid driver's license for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of cardiac surgery recovery and advanced hemodynamic support
Comfort managing multiple titratable drips and interpreting telemetry
Skilled with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment
Excellent critical thinking and rapid response abilities
