Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with behavioral health needs
• Assess patients' mental and physical health status and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects
• Implement crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and social workers
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain confidential records
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and coping strategies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or related nursing setting preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands
• Compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing and therapeutic communication
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Medication administration and psychotropic medication management
• Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Collaboration and teamwork
• Patient education and family support
