Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to adolescent patients in a behavioral health unit
• Administer medications and perform patient assessments with precision
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to create a safe therapeutic environment
• De-escalate crises using CPI techniques and maintain professional boundaries
• Document care in Cerner EMR and ensure compliance with unit guidelines

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• At least 2 years of experience in behavioral health
• Current BLS and CPI certifications required
• Calm and composed personality perfect for high-acuity settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in medication administration and patient assessments
• Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing and therapeutic communication
• Proficiency with PYXIS, DynaMap, and Cerner EMR systems
• Ability to float between adult and child behavioral health units as needed
