Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and radiography exams accurately and safely, delivering excellent patient care
• Operate and utilize PACS correctly to manage and retrieve imaging studies
• Administer IV contrast and maintain IV/contrast competency for appropriate studies
• Verify MRI scan protocols with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging
• Handle clerical and office duties to keep the radiology department efficient and organized
• Work independently during weekend night shifts while maintaining clear communication with the care team
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and department policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology/MR required
• IEMA licensure required
• CPR required (BLS) and additional credentials as applicable (ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS) per hospital/unit expectations
• Associate's degree in Radiology or Radiologic Technologist Certification
• IV/contrast competency and experience with MRI and X-ray modalities
• Technical experience: 1 year preferred
• Comfort working independently during overnight weekend shifts

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiology or Radiologic Technologist Certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in Radiography (X-ray) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Proficiency with PACS and digital imaging workflows
• IV contrast administration and monitoring patient reactions
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
• Detail-oriented protocol verification and image quality assessment
• Basic clerical skills and ability to coordinate scheduling with radiologists
