Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures, ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory rooms to maintain a safe, clean environment
• Take and process dental x-rays with precision and care
• Guide patients through their orthodontic treatment plans and answer questions with a smile
• Maintain accurate patient records using Denticon software
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care every single day

Qualifications

• Must be certified in orthodontics (Orthodontic certification required)
• Current dental assistant certification as required by Maryland state regulations
• Experience with Denticon software is a plus
• A positive, patient-first attitude and great communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced orthodontic office

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic techniques, tools, and instruments
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Proficiency with dental practice management software, especially Denticon
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and team members
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
