Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, procedures, and adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, ensuring a safe and clean environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays, capturing clear images for diagnosis
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Take impressions and digital scans for custom appliances
• Manage patient records and schedule follow-up appointments

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Radiology (X-ray) certification required
• Previous orthodontic experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures and orthodontic terminology
• Proficiency in dental software and record keeping
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
• Team player with a positive attitude
