Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists chairside during braces placements, adjustments, and other procedures
• Take and prepare dental X-rays with precision and care
• Guide patients through their orthodontic journey with clear, friendly instructions
• Sterilize and organize instruments to keep every appointment safe and smooth
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Help create a welcoming, positive experience for patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or ability to meet Maryland state requirements
• Active X-ray certification or willingness to obtain one
• Experience in orthodontics is a huge plus
• A genuine passion for patient care and teamwork
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental instruments, materials, and procedures
• Comfort with dental software and digital record keeping
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Commitment to infection control and sterilization standards
