Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for orthodontic procedures with a warm, reassuring smile
• Assist the orthodontist during exams and treatments, helping everything run smoothly
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and equipment to maintain a safe, clean environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, ensuring patient comfort throughout
• Educate patients and families on orthodontic care and post-treatment instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and support the team with charting and scheduling

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification
• Orthodontic certification required
• Experience as an orthodontic dental assistant is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to connect with patients of all ages

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Comfortable with dental practice management software
• Strong infection control and sterilization practices
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced orthodontic office
