Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide gentle, thorough dental cleanings and preventive care for pediatric patients
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene habits
• Take and process dental x-rays with care and precision
• Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure a smooth and comfortable visit
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming treatment environment
• Document patient care accurately and maintain patient records

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
• Strong communication skills with children and parents
• Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Proficiency in dental radiography and imaging
• Understanding of pediatric dental needs and behavior management
• Excellent charting and documentation skills
• Strong infection control and sterilization practices
• A friendly, patient chairside manner
