Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare patients for treatment and make them feel comfortable
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Sterilize and organize instruments and treatment rooms
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified as noted in the job description
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with dental software, ideally Denticon
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, tools, and materials
• Skill in taking dental X-rays and intraoral scans
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
