Shift Type: Shift B: Tuesday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts); Shift C: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts). Initial schedule will be flexible during start-up.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and specimen processing across core areas including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, and microbiology
• Report test results accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
• Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment, performing routine quality control checks
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support quality patient care and diagnostic excellence
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment following safety and infection control protocols
• Participate in continuing education and maintain certification per certifying body requirements

Qualifications

• You are a certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) with active certification from AMT, ASCP, or another nationally recognized agency (you may obtain certification within 18 months of hire)
• You hold a current, active state license as required
• For MLT candidates: High School Diploma with at least 60 semester hours (including 6 hours of chemistry, 6 hours of biology, and 12 hours of laboratory science) or completion of an approved military laboratory training program
• For MLS candidates: Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science with at least 48 semester hours of science coursework, including specific chemistry and biology requirements
• You have a minimum of 6 months of clinical laboratory experience for MLT roles, or 1 year of experience for MLS roles, across core lab areas
• Your experience aligns with CLIA-defined scope of practice, including moderate complexity testing and supervised participation in high complexity testing

Education

• MLT: High School Diploma AND 60 semester hours including 6 hours of chemistry, 6 hours of biology, and 12 hours of laboratory science; or completion of an approved military laboratory training program
• MLS: Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science AND 48 semester hours of science coursework including 12 hours of chemistry (general, organic, or biochemistry), 12 hours of biology (general, molecular, cell, or genetics), and 24 hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory science in any combination

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, microbiology, and clinical microscopy
• Strong specimen processing and handling skills
• Accurate result reporting and documentation
• Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance practices
• Understanding of regulatory compliance standards (CLIA, etc.)
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
