Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a gastroenterology clinic following established standards and within LPN scope of practice
Take and interpret vital signs, monitor patient status, and escalate concerns to providers and RNs as needed
Triage patient calls efficiently and professionally, ensuring timely follow-up and appropriate referrals
Manage medication refills and complete prior authorizations to keep patient care on track
Serve as a key liaison between patients, providers, and clinical staff to coordinate seamless care
Supervise and give clear direction to CNAs and scheduling staff to support clinic flow and patient experience
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members — providers, coordinators, clinical managers — to meet patient needs

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (required)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
Comfortable performing clinical assessments, vital signs, and patient triage
Experience with medication management, refills, and completing prior authorizations
Ability to delegate and supervise CNAs and support staff while taking direction from providers and RNs
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and patient triage
Vital signs monitoring and documentation
Medication management and prescription refills
Completing prior authorizations and administrative clinical tasks
Basic Life Support (BLS) competence
Team collaboration and coordination with providers and clinical staff
Delegation and supervision of CNAs and scheduling staff
