Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Help with safe mobility and transfers to reduce fall risk
• Monitor and record vital signs and any changes in condition
• Communicate observations and resident needs clearly to the nursing team
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition
• Maintain clean, safe, and respectful environments for residents
• Document care accurately and timely in resident records

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification/class or equivalent credential
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clear background check and up-to-date health screenings as required
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently when needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification/class required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and geriatric care principles
• Skillful in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and resident hygiene practices
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
