Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days vary, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (day)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, helping with bathing, dressing, and grooming
Assist with safe transfers and mobility needs to promote independence
Observe residents and report changes in condition to the licensed nursing staff
Document care activities and resident responses clearly and accurately
Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents' nutritional needs are met
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care every shift

Qualifications

Current GNA certification or equivalent required
CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Comfortable working with geriatric populations and assisting with ADLs
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to work variable per diem shifts

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Basic knowledge of geriatric care and activities of daily living
Safe patient handling and mobility assistance
Infection control and proper hygiene techniques
Accurate documentation and reporting skills
Compassionate interpersonal skills and resident advocacy
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
