Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift, Day)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, dignified personal care to geriatric residents, supporting activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and toileting while promoting independence
- Observe and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident observations
- Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and facility policies
- Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, resident-centered experience
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Ability to pass background check and required immunizations
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic geriatric care
- Comfortable with resident transfers and safe mobility practices
- Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
- Reliable time management and teamwork skills
