Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming) with dignity and respect
Provide compassionate personal care and emotional support to older adults
Help with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation to reduce fall risk
Monitor, observe, and promptly report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland or eligibility to obtain
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
High school diploma or equivalent
Compassionate, patient-centered attitude and strong verbal communication skills
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatric care principles and basic ADLs
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Ability to perform basic resident care tasks and safe transfer techniques
Accurate documentation skills and attention to detail
Teamwork, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
