Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings and prophylaxis to maintain oral health
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
• Provide personalized patient education on oral hygiene techniques
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants for prevention
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Active Virginia dental hygienist license required
• Current CPR certification
• Experience in clinical dental hygiene preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a gentle touch

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Familiarity with dental charting software
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
