Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and polish teeth with precision and care
• Take and analyze dental x-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques to promote lifelong dental health
• Review medical histories and update patient charts accurately
• Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable patient experience
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for patient care
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing techniques
• Proficiency in dental radiography and digital imaging systems
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols
• Strong communication skills to connect with patients and team members
• Attention to detail with exceptional documentation abilities
• Ability to build trust with patients through empathy and professionalism
