Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging for emergency department patients in a fast-paced HSED setting
• Operate and maintain CT equipment while following radiation safety protocols
• Assess and prepare patients for imaging studies, ensuring comfort and clear communication
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in the Tsystems EMR
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, charge nurse, and allied staff to prioritize urgent imaging needs
• Follow infection control and COVID-19 protocols and maintain required certifications
• Participate in floor-specific orientation and ongoing departmental training to support best practices

Qualifications

• ARRT and/or CRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (acute / emergency department experience preferred)
• Comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts including occasional evenings, nights and 1 weekend per month
• Familiarity with Tsystems or other EMR/charting systems preferred
• Able to complete a 12-hour orientation and integrate into an ED satellite environment

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging and radiologic technology expertise
• Experience with emergency department imaging and trauma protocols
• Proficiency using Tsystems EMR and accurate charting practices
• Strong patient positioning and image acquisition skills
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control procedures
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize emergent studies
