Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
  • Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
  • Support nursing staff with timely, clear communication about patient needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
  • Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and safety
  • Document care activities thoroughly and respectfully in patient records

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
  • Active CNA authorization or ability to work in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
  • Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and reliability
  • Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus

Education

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

  • Foundational nursing care and patient assistance
  • Taking and interpreting vital signs
  • Safe patient handling and mobility assistance
  • Infection control and basic wound care awareness
  • Clear documentation and teamwork in a clinical setting
  • Respectful, patient-centered communication
