Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients including bathing, dressing and grooming
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report significant changes promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote patient comfort and independence
• Support nursing team with ADLs (activities of daily living) and bedside care
• Document care delivered in a timely and clear manner according to facility policy
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in good standing
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations) per facility policy
• Comfortable working a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) on scheduled per-diem assignments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, transfers and basic bedside care
• Comfortable taking vitals and documenting observations accurately
• Basic knowledge of infection control practices and PPE use
• Familiarity with safe lifting/body mechanics and assistive devices
• Good time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Professional, compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
