Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to patients and support their dignity
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and staff
- Document care and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team
- Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
- Active state registry or licensure as required by California
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Prior experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar patient settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and intake/output
- Familiarity with patient transfer and positioning techniques
- Ability to follow care plans and effectively communicate observations
- Team-oriented approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic familiarity with electronic medical records or willingness to learn
