Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Assist with hygiene, feeding, and comfort measures to enhance patient dignity
• Work collaboratively with nurses and other clinical staff to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Comfort working overnight shifts and in fast-paced clinical settings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completed CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Vital signs measurement and reporting
• Comfortable with electronic charting or paper documentation
• Teamwork, time management, and situational awareness in clinical settings
