Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
  • Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
  • Support safe patient transfers and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
  • Assist with basic activities of daily living while preserving dignity and independence
  • Document care and observations clearly in patient charts and report concerns promptly
  • Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to follow care plans and improve outcomes

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in the state of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
  • Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and standing for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
  • Pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and safety protocols
  • Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
  • Familiarity with infection control and personal protective equipment use
  • Comfortable with patient handling and safe body mechanics
  • Good teamwork, time management, and clear documentation skills
