Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Assist with safe patient transfers and ambulation, promoting independence when possible
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support activities of daily living to maintain dignity and comfort for each patient
• Document care accurately and clearly in the patient record
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of California
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable with physical demands of the role, including lifting and prolonged standing
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-centered approach
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and patient safety practices
• Skilled at taking and recording vital signs and observing changes in condition
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safe patient handling
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail
• Clear verbal communication and teamwork mindset
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
