Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate direct patient care and help patients with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to nursing staff
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control protocols
• Document care and observations clearly and promptly in patient records
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the care team to implement care plans
• Provide emotional support to patients and families with empathy and respect

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Valid state authorization to practice in California (if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Previous CNA experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care is a plus
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in patient care and activities of daily living
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs
• Good charting and documentation habits
• Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
