Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during the overnight shift
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Ensure a safe, comfortable environment and help prevent falls or injuries
• Support nursing staff with timely documentation and clear communication
• Respond promptly to patient needs and collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Recent experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar patient care settings preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
• Immunizations and TB screening up to facility standards

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient lifting, transfers, and safe mobility techniques
• Comfortable with basic clinical tasks: vital signs, feeding, toileting, wound observation
• Strong observation and documentation skills to accurately report patient changes
• Excellent communication and teamwork to coordinate with nurses and other staff
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to work independently overnight
