Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility support
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Document care accurately and collaborate with the care team to support treatment plans
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work night shifts and be available for per diem assignments
- Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods
- Successful background check and adherence to facility policies and immunization requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and bedside manner skills
- Accurate vital signs measurement and reporting
- Infection control and standard precautions knowledge
- Clear written and verbal communication with patients and clinical teams
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
