Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic nursing care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility needs
• Support hygiene, feeding, and toileting while maintaining dignity and respect
• Accurately document care provided and follow established care plans
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification valid in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to changing patient needs
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of infection prevention and basic patient care procedures
• Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic charting basics
• Ability to observe, record, and report patient changes accurately
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and families
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
