Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for patients—assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and assist with basic comfort measures
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the care team
• Accurately document care delivered in charts or electronic records per facility policy
• Assist licensed nurses with treatments and follow established care plans

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or required depending on facility)
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable working overnight hours and handling physically active patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and maintaining patient dignity
• Knowledge of infection control and basic safety protocols
• Able to take and record vital signs accurately
• Good observational skills to notice and report patient changes
• Basic familiarity with charting and following care plans
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations
