Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Safely transfer, reposition, and ambulate patients while maintaining dignity
• Take and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Document care accurately in the medical record and communicate handoffs clearly
• Support infection control practices and maintain a safe environment
• Work collaboratively with nurses and other clinicians to deliver excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
• Valid state CNA license or registration as required by California
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and lifting/transfer tasks
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Previous healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus, but we welcome energetic new CNAs

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
• Ability to measure and interpret basic vital signs
• Familiarity with infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Good documentation and basic EMR/charting skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Teamwork and clear communication with clinical staff
