Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Support patient mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Keep accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Help maintain a clean, safe patient environment and adhere to infection-control protocols

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or ability to obtain quickly
• Comfortable assisting with patient transfers and personal care
• Clear background check and compliant immunization records as required
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Infection control best practices and PPE use
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Team communication and following care plans
• Time management for efficient per-diem shifts
