Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on, compassionate care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and feeding as needed
Monitor and report resident changes to the nursing team promptly
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
Support safe transfer and positioning techniques to protect residents
Collaborate with nurses and support staff to ensure a positive resident experience

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Valid CNA license in Pennsylvania or eligible to work as a PA CNA
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working evening shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and required vaccinations

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with ADLs and resident mobility
Basic charting and documentation best practices
Infection control and hand hygiene principles
Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes
Teamwork, time management, and respectful communication with residents and families
