Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (varies), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate basic nursing care and assist with activities of daily living
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and observed conditions
Practice infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Prior CNA experience preferred but new grads who completed an accredited CNA program are welcome
Ability to work night shifts and flexible per diem hours
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
Reliable transportation to the Gettysburg Center location

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of ADLs and basic patient care techniques
Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control practices and safety procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
