Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as needed), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, making their comfort a priority
Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) with dignity and respect
Monitor and accurately document vital signs and patient observations
Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
Support safe transfers, mobility, and fall prevention measures
Maintain infection control standards and keep patient areas clean and safe
Participate in care planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff
Respond courteously and promptly to patient needs and call lights

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Pennsylvania preferred
High school diploma or GED (see education section)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings/immunizations
Comfort working night shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
Strong communication skills, dependability, and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care and basic nursing procedures (ADLs, feeding, toileting)
Taking and recording vital signs accurately
Infection control and safe patient handling practices
Basic charting and documentation; ability to learn facility EMR
Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
