Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident behaviors accurately and promptly
• Support mobility and fall prevention through attentive, safe assistance
• Assist licensed nursing staff with treatments and care plans as directed
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
• Document care provided in the resident chart with accuracy and timeliness

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania)
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but compassionate, eager learners are welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks as required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (lifting, standing, assisting residents)

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and ADL assistance
• Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Professional communication and teamwork, including documentation best practices
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
