Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per-diem evenings, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Shift 2) - days vary; Evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
Assist with feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene while promoting dignity
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical staff to coordinate care
Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment
Contribute to accurate charting and timely handoffs at shift change

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
Comfortable providing direct patient care in a long-term or skilled nursing setting
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
Reliable transportation for per-diem shifts
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care techniques and safe transfer practices
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Infection control procedures and standard precautions
Familiarity with electronic health records or willingness to learn
Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
Time management during busy shift periods
