Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic nursing care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations
• Support safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility assistance
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and bedside care tasks to promote patient comfort

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-approved) — required
• BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain promptly)
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but caring attitude and willingness to learn are key
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills (electronic charting experience a plus)
• Good time management, multitasking, and teamwork skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
