Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (days vary / not specified)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (per state requirements)
Active CNA credentials eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working night shift hours (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Reliability, compassion, and attention to detail

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Familiarity with patient safety and infection prevention practices
Good documentation and time-management skills
Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
Teamwork, empathy, and effective communication with patients and staff
