Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures with precision, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis
• Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal views while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
• Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with emergency department clinicians to deliver timely imaging results
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure seamless operations
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations
• Remain adaptable and ready to assist during strike or high-volume periods

Qualifications

• Active California X-ray technician licensure (required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (required)
• DCI/BVP certification (required)
• Ability to complete EDAP I & II or ENPC within 60 days (for CHMC ER)
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Comfortable with per diem scheduling and occasional strike coverage
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in X-ray imaging techniques and equipment operation
• Understanding of radiation safety and protection standards
• Proficiency with electronic health records and imaging systems
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and medical staff
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and patient loads
