Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the ICU scope of practice, ensuring the best outcomes for critically ill patients.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching, while supervising other nursing personnel to maintain standards of care.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and communicate changes in patient condition to physicians promptly and accurately.
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Float to MST as needed to support the unit and ensure patient care continuity.

Qualifications

• Active and valid California RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care (ICU)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification preferred
• Willingness to float to other units as assigned
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred

• Strong patient care and nursing process skills
• Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring
• Critical care nursing knowledge
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies
